The 613 Laws

158/613 – Don’t drink wine and alcohol!

Yaakov, Béla Orbán

"Do not drink wine or strong drink, you and your sons with you, when you enter into the Meeting Tent, so that you do not die, which is a perpetual statute throughout your generations…"

(Leviticus 10:9)

God forbids the Cohens to enter the Sanctuary, the place of their ministry under the influence of alcohol.

"...as well as to distinguish between the holy and the common, and between the unclean and the clean." (10th verse)

This law is still effective today when someone is in charge of taking a decision or judging according to the Law or when he is teaching the Law.

This law is more than ever efficient for us today!

Why?

Because not only the chemical substances such as drug or alcohol are able to make people get drunk or to damage the spiritual lucidity or the sense of responsibility, but there are also many ways of manipulation such as joy overflowing, adoration, positive confessions, etc.

Among these, we can find methods of manipulation like praise and dance which favor a false estate of joy in many people’s mind. It is FORBIDDEN to go before God or to serve in the name of Christ while being under their effect!

The methods of joy overflowing and adoration are innumerable in these days.

The same for all the methods of dazing and making drunk of the false charismatic favoring evil spirits to take control upon the faithful.

The moderate consumption of alcohol is of course allowed outside of the ministry.

But does a real servant of God have any free time? Doesn’t he always have to be ready to go in mission at any time?

Or souls will be lost because of us?
