Feasts of the Lord
The message of Pesach (Passover)
Yaakov, Béla Orbán
"And you shall tell your children on that day all that happened to you and say: Here is what the Eternal God did with me the day I came out of Egypt".
Telling the story to those who are not there...
Let us talk about "the fifth one"!
The night of Pesach (Passover), the Evening of Seder, the number 4 has a particular signification in all families and communities.
Wine is the symbol of joy and happiness and 4 cups of wine (Arba Kosot) are drunk on this famous evening to commemorate the release of Israel together with the promises of the Eternal God:
"Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments: And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians" (Exodus 6:6-7)
- The children participating to the evening of Seder also ask 4 questions:
"MA NISHTANA? " – In what the evening of Seder is different from all the other evenings of the year?
The Bible and the Haggadah talk about 4 types of children, of sons, of boys when asking the questions:
- The intelligent (Deuteronomy 6:20), the one who wants to know more and learn.
- The bad one (Exodus 12:26), the one who asks but stay distant and apart – he is an alien.
- The simple minded (Exodus 13:14), the one who is even unable to ask. He does not play the malignant one and he is not evil.
- The one who is unable to ask. We still must answer him.
We have to answer them all and tell them all the miracles and testimonies that God made with His People.
Since that all these things happened with Israel, it is mostly us, all Jews who have to perpetuate the Haggadah from generation to generation (its Hebrew origin is: higgid lehho hakosouv = here is what the Holy Scriptures teaches/tells you...) in memory and observation of God’s Will and Law. Moreover, everybody has to know the promises made at the moment of these events since they are still valid today.
However someone is missing from around the table of the memory! Although the 4 characters who are asking the questions represent and personify well the integrality of humankind with all its social classes and all characteristics of the Jewish and all other People, the Hagadah does not mention the boy who is absent!
The son who went away and has gone very far from the home’s table is missing.
He is the one who became secularized, who was assimilated in the other nations of the world and because of what he has nothing left to remember of. The names and the testimonies of God do no longer have any sense to him. The fifth cup or vial that will be poured out at the moment of the arrival of Elijah will be the cup of judgment for him.
It is about the son who have lost his Jewish identity and his faith in God since long or it is because of the sins of his parents or ancestors that he is not able to hear the words of joy and hope full with promises that we tell on the evening of Seder, these words that every Jew has to remember with grace.
He is the one who was born from a mixed wedding and who have chosen the path of another people and do just have a dim memory, a superficial knowledge of his Jewish roots.
Every Jew has to gather his sons and all his descendents home so that once sitting around the family table next to the 4 other sons, the fifth one could also ask his questions to the Father!
A family together with its head can only be happy if everybody is gathered and present around the table everyone at his right place.
During the Seder and before drinking the four cups, we soak our fingers in the wine and pour some drops onto the floor to show that our happiness cannot be complete.
During the days of Pesach, we are not allowed to read or pray any praising psalm (Hillel).
The reason to this are the Egyptians who died. Because of the death of the Egyptians, the joy and the happiness of the Jews cannot be complete. Even the death of the enemy affects very badly the soul of the saved Chosen People.
Our joy can be full at the night of Seder when some places are empty around our table?
Around that table where another People has its place next to the Chosen People. Another People that can also pretend belonging to the People of God by the sacrifice, the redemption and the rule of Yeshua HaMashiach.
What should we do?
Our first duty is to help the "fifth child", the lost and the faraway Jew so that he should find his way back home again towards his People and his identity!
As long as their gathering will not be achieved, the sons will never eat together sitting side by side at the same table and will never remember the miracles and prophetic testimonies of Israel, and the fifth cup will stay untouched. But the so awaited Guest won’t come either. This Guest that the Jewish People is waiting for as the messenger of the Messiah, as Elijah (Eliyahou) (Malachi 3).
This Guest whose arrival is expected by opening the doors to welcome Him and for Whom we also serve a cup of wine at the table of Seder.
Such as a cry in the wilderness that preceded the arrival of Yeshua, soon the People of Israel will hear a lightening and reminding voice that will precede the arrival and spreading again of the Holy Spirit.
The One who was promised by the prophets for the entire and gathered Israel before the coming back of our Lord.
This is why it is necessary to work on the gathering of the Jewish People at the same table through our ministry, around the only One and Unique Eternal God so that we could be the servants of the revealed prophecies and the Words of God.
It will be before the eyes of the gathered people that the Delegate, the Messenger, in other words, the Holy Spirit will show the fifth Word of Promise, the one that the Haggadah does not mention and cannot know yet:
"And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for an heritage: I am the LORD" (Exodus 6: 8)
Let us then never forget that the Word of the "fifth promise" is valid for the Chosen People and the Body of Christ at the same time and the same way, but only once they both will be gathered around the same table according to the revelation given by the Holy Spirit.
Without the knowledge of what is the Kingdom of Heaven and the Eternal Life, the Jewish community does not know what to do with Promises such as: "I will bring you unto…or out of…", because Jews are still waiting and expecting the reestablishment of the entire Law on earth and in the visible world.
It is then not surprising that in His first preaching; Yeshua called already the people, the Jews to come back to God and was already talking about the Kingdom of Heaven which is next.
Living, working and acting in His Spirit, our duty is the same today.
The Jewish Seder evening is an evening that goes on late into the night.
The "Seder Evening" of the Body of Christ is the memory of the Pesach (Passover) together with the elevation of the "fifth cup" by the Anointed Messenger. It is then not a matter of a kind of "Christian version":
The permanent memory is the one of the "fifth cup", the cup of the Last Supper, the cup of joy and grace, the cup that Yeshua elevated first in front of His disciples. He was also remembering among His disciples as a Jew. Although He had shown and still shows ahead in a prophetic way.
He showed ahead the fifth promise, the putting in effect of the mercy, of grace and redemption by the act of sacrifice on the cross. Because the access to Paradise is only possible through the unique and only sacrifice of Yeshua HaMashiach for all men.
The promise given to the Chosen People has been transformed in a renewed Covenant that was declared during the Holy Communion, the Last Supper by the seal of the blood of the Lamb of Pesach and which was realized by the Resurrection and the gift of Eternal Life.
Yeshua is then the only One who is able to prepare and gather the People of God so that one day the divine promise should be fulfilled in their life: "I will bring you out, rid you out, bring you into the promised land…"
The memory concerning the Exodus and the promises of God was given to the Jewish People to be remembered for ever.
The Evening of Seder is a familial dinner that the members of the house can take part to according to the Laws of the Holy Scriptures:
"for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof. One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you." (Exodus 12:48-49)
The following question could then arise: Would it be possible to celebrate a "Christian Seder Evening"?
If the word Christian appoints a person who is just religious, then the answer is: Never!
In such a case, the one organizing such a "theatrical performance" or imitation would violate all the rules concerning the feast and would not do else than lie by considering himself as the inheritor of the Jewish People and would needlessly submit himself to Laws and Decrees that does not concern him.
Any person breaking decrees or falsifying the Laws of God involve heavy spiritual consequences! Even the Jew which still just consumes the "four cups" would never take part in such an evening of Seder (or any other Jewish feast) and sit down at such a table, even unconsciously to avoid committing or assisting anyone is his sins.
The Body of Christ can have its own independent and parallel Evening of Seder?
No way!
The feast was decreed to the People of God. Its double content has to be realized at the same time. The memory of the Jewish People together with the promises received by God will only be realized through a renewed Covenant and through the possibility of Grace.
This will be fulfilled when God will remove the veil from the eyes of the Jewish People when the Body of Christ will settle its relationship with the Chosen People sincerely and for real and not just formally by accepting the integrality of the promises made to Israel together with the entire Calling of the Jews.
Such as the fulfillment of the Jewish Evening of Seder has to wait for the "fifth cup", the one of the Holy Communion is not part of the feast; the cup of the Last Supper is also shortened as long as the preceding four cups of the promises are not accepted.
Such as there is no Grace without Law and Judgment, Gentiles have to know and accept the Laws and Promises of the Eternal given to Israel. They have to accept that through the testimony, the Calling and the prophecies that are realized in the life of the Jewish People.
Grace without Law or Law without Grace is not in the divine order of Mercy.
God’s Grace without judgment would not be Truth and the Law of God without Grace would not be neither the Love nor the forgiveness and mercy that God wants to show to the whole world!
Although God has given all this to Jews first and then to the other nations through Yeshua HaMashiach Who showed, presented and proposed again the Laws of God, offering the possibility of reconciliation with God to the whole world. He proposed the Path of the Law through which our lives are judged in truth to receive the Life by His Mercy, His Grace and Redemption.
"One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you…"
The Saved People of God has to live according to the same Laws that the Chosen People of God so that both People could sit down to the same table the last night preceding Pesach, when the Messenger, the Holy Spirit will reveal Himself on the Great Day, the one of the arrival of the Messiah.
The second Advent will take place when the Holy Spirit will spread again. Our duty is not to separate from each other but to gather!
It is not the Jewish community that has to convert to Christianity, but rather the Christianity that has to be Grafted in the roots that were given to the Jewish People!
We are the ones who have to remember the Evening of Seder, we are the ones who can represent the "Messenger", the "fifth cup", the accomplishment of the promise of the "I will take you out..., and get you in..." together with the arrival of the Messiah which all have to come very soon.
When a community which is member of the Body of Christ can participate to a Jewish Evening of Seder?
- In the case if it is invited in a Jewish community that has and which lives under the same Laws as the People of Yeshua and if these Laws are exclusively the ones decreed and revealed by God.
The memory is exclusively the obligation of the Jewish People. The members of other people con only participate to it as external witnesses.
In the other hand, the spiritual unit is only realized once and through the memory of the Last Supper, of the Holy Communion and by the acceptance of the spiritual content of this act.
- Moreover, the members of the Body of Christ that are from Jewish origin and who are waiting for the coming back of the Messiah in Christ can also remember of the Exodus and it is their responsibility through the leading of the Lord, to make the testimony of the "fifth cup", of the divine promises, of the return of Yeshua HaMashiach and of the Kingdom of Heaven in the right moment and place through the people anointed to do this ministry among their own People.
The Evening of Seder of the Jews believing in Yeshua HaMashiach:
– It is obligatory for us to remind of the Exodus according to the order received by our People.
– By the will of Yeshua HaMashiach, we although must also remind of the Last Supper, the Holy Communion in memory of the sacrifice of Yeshua, of the Redemption, of the gathering of the People and of the promise of Eternal Life.
For us, all promises of God were fulfilled and became reality in our lives. But the date of their fulfillment in the visible world, the moment of the return of the Messiah is still unknown.
Many kind of evening of Seder are taking place in the Judeo-Christian world.
God is the only One able to judge if someone is circumcised in the hearth, living according to His Laws and so member of the People of God.
But God asks us all to match these conditions to be able to participate side by side to the Evening of Seder. This is valid for the Jews as well as for the members of the other nations who were adopted in God’s family by the sacrifice of Yeshua.
The "Common Law" is the one that was revealed to the ears of everyone and that our Lord has restored and purified:
A Law which is at last delivered from the power of Judaism and Hellenism in the center of which only Yeshua is standing.
The development of a common law will not come from the syncretism of laws and convictions of the different religions and churches but rather from the purification of the original Laws of God from all supplement and waste that fossilized on them these last 2000 years. This work will be done when the Law of God will be cleaned from all dogmas, all theologies, all Jewish or Christian philosophies that are trying to hide and strangle the Truth and that all take their common root in the demoniac and parasitic spirits of oriental religions that are no other than the allies of the false ecumenism.
The real Seder will take place when a part of the Jewish community and a part of Christendom (The Rest) will be delivered and cleaned from the power of the antichrist. This will mark the fulfillment of the Reunification and Gathering of the whole People of God, the Last Seder and the fulfillment of the Order of God…
What is then our role as saved Jews or Gentiles?
The Eternal showed Himself to the Chosen People as having Sh’losh esre midot, it means 13 characteristics. (Exodus 34:6-7)
When Moses met God before receiving the Tables of the written Laws, he prostrated face to the ground: "And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped. And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance. (adopte-us)" (verses 8-9 )
The repenting Jewish prayer does not mention the Redemption, the Grace, the adoption in the Kingdom of Heaven and the return to home.
The people that became inheritor by the grace of Yeshua also does not make the step forward, however being a step further, they do not start on God’s path.
Because after the adoption, God declares His Laws one more time by saying them, then He engrave these words of the Covenant in the stone again. He acts the same way with us and with His mislaid People.
Grace is not the final step, the "terminus/last stop", but it is only after the gift of our lives in total submission that God talks to us and teaches us His Laws and His Path and then engraves all these on the Tables of our hearths. It is only afterwards that we are ourselves able to do a ministry towards the others to teach them the Path of God at our turn.
The Chosen People of God has not yet recognized the Grace and the People that received Grace did not yet recognize the visible and hearable Law in Yeshua and these Laws are still not engraved in their hearths.
Both People: the whole People of God has broken Tables that need to be written and asked again in the hearths of its members.
Beyond our knowledge of God, our duty is then to talk about the Grace, the Kingdom of Heaven and the Anointed Messiah who has to come back.
Afterwards, we have to teach the Laws of God that represent the boundary stones and the traffic signs all long our way to our heavenly home.
All other Laws, human, religious etc..., have mislead many people on false roads in the past and are still doing the same today.
However we all would like to go home as inheritors in our inheritance.
The knowledge of God can lead us to the testimonies that are the Gospel and lead us to recognize the Truth.
The knowledge of the Laws does not simply manage our lives but also leads us to recognize the fulfillment of past, present and future prophecies.
So, such as it is necessary to go further from the "four cups" to the "fifth one", to the one of the Messenger of the Evening of Seder, it is also unavoidable to talk and testify of the "fifth component", of the prophecies beyond the 4 Gospel! ...to everybody!
We have to make the testimony of the Kingdom of Heaven and of the earthly and heavenly Gathering of the People to the Chosen People, and testify of the Bridegroom who come back soon to the Bride, to the Body of Christ.
When we will be in one spirit, when the Body of Christ will form a unique and big family composed by Jews and Gentiles and will have only one Law, we will be able to say together in a common wish:
L'shana haba biYerushalayim. – See you next year in the rebuilt Jerusalem.
But before that, it would be first quite more necessary to say:
MARANA THA! Lord, come!
MARAN ATHA! Our Lord is here!
This calling and this testimony are no other than the filling up of the "fifth cup" of the People of God during the Evening of Seder, the words of hope, of the waiting of the Messiah and of the welcoming of the Holy Spirit while we are opening the doors of our hearths before the One who is coming …
