Messianic Pesach

This year Christian Easter does not fall on the same period as the Jewish Passover that will happen between the 20th and the 27th of April 2008.  

A few hours before the welcoming of the Evening of Seder a question suddenly arose in my mind:  
Why aren’t we together now?
Because we could be together in the spiritual unit of Christ as a unique and big Family...

When all of us shall at last understand that the Holy Communion, the Last Supper was the moment when all of us received the opportunity of sitting down at the table of the People of God where Yeshua HaMashiach is sitting at the top and waits for everybody to come, no matter which people he or she is coming from?

- In place of that, we are organizing spring-like celebrations called Easter during which many accuse Jews of having killing God while waiting for these Jews who never were pagans to convert and submit to the rule of Christianity with a look a pity, disdain and pride in the eye.  
- For its part, the Jewish community celebrates this feast alone.  
Although they are acting well and according to the Law and Will of God, they isolate themselves by still not understanding and they cannot yet understand the magnificent value of the Holy Communion. Thanks to the Grace, the Love and the Promise of God, Jews can have brothers and sisters coming from all peoples of the world.   
- Then, what is even more painful:
During the feast of God, liars and rebels do also sit down to the table.  
All those people pretending to be Jews or even "messianic", "spiritual Israel" or "Israel in the hearth" while in reality just being deviant Christians.  
They are much more philo-Semites and persons who hate Christians than the real brothers of the Jewish People.   


The Evening of Seder… The Last Supper… The Holy Communion…  
When the day will finally come when we all will at last sit down around the same table purified from all lying, all falseness and impurity?  
According the prayer of the High Priest, the Holy Communion was the first experimentation of this event.  
When the opportunity of the true unity began and was offered on that Evening!

Today, when the feast is approaching very fast according to the Jewish calendar, the other side of the table is still empty.
Brothers and sisters from the other nations are still absents.   
There are absents from around this table that could be the real and the so awaited Unit and Equality within the People of God.   
The place where the Jewish and the Christians are no longer different from each other because only One person is sitting at the top of the table.   

We, messianic Jews, are very sad for these missing brothers.
We have pain in silence for all those ill and deviant false-messianic ones who beguile themselves and go this way in front of God…
We have pain for them, since we know the catastrophic spiritual consequences where such a behavior leads.  
We do also have pain for all those who reduce the feasts of God to simple cultural performances.   

But in the same time, we are living as Jews all what the members of our people are living through the words of the Haggadah.

We are although living something even more intense in a more particular blessing.
Because we are celebrating as Jews around the table, but we also remembering, living and knowing the Words and Promises of Yeshua HaMashiach at the same time, we experience the Verb in one word:
This ancestral Covenant that became reality and was fulfilled in our lives in a Renewed Covenant that is able to welcome all the other peoples too.
It is through these thoughts that I wish you and us all to live this event together and very soon.
