Advent: Waiting for the Messiah?

Advent - coming... 
We can guess from our title that we have two questions to ask: 

- You are waiting? 
- Who or What are you waiting for? 

Let us remember the words of John the Baptist: 

"Are you the one who has to come ...?" (Mt. 11:3) 

How does this question sound today in our hearths? 


Has the Messiah already came? 

I think that I must ask this question first which is essential for all Jew: 

"How could the Messiah already come since nothing has changed since then in the world?”

The question is absolutely founded! 
But we have to answer it, since as long as this question will be asked a Jew will never accept Yeshua HaMashiach of Nazareth by our "gospeling" words! 

Jews want signs, miracles: from us before all, the ones that are already from Christ!   
Moreover and principally from those who are their relatives, they terrestrial family, the members of the same family, of the same people, from Jews who live and are already under the power and rule of Yeshua HaMasshiach and who are serving Him. 
For the Jew, charismatic is something very natural and not a blind miracle waiting..., not an emotional overflow at the sight of an extraordinary thing happening or while waiting for it. The Jew will never make an idol of any miracle, since we live, we are the witnesses and we are the constant testimony of the Eternal’s miracles each day since thousands of years.  

Neither the Holy Spirit nor Its gifts nor anybody from who miracles come through (should they be real or false) will never be idols because of our statement of faith: Sh’ma Yisrael – Adonaj echad (Hear Israel – God is one).  
We are protected so that the Eternal is always above everything else.   

Yeshua serving God on earth in a perfect submission and in total accordance with the Will of God, made miracles such as the priests and scribes of the time were perfectly aware that He was the Messiah.  

What are the signs of the Messiah that We show to the world from the fact that He already came on earth, that He is still among us and that He will soon be back again?... 


The MESSIAH (Moshiach- the anointed) 

We know several significations of this word. 

- at the biblical time: 
All those who received the unction for a bigger ministry, the kings, the priests or people fulfilling other exceptional events. They received the name of:
cohen mashuah milhama - "priest anointed for the war". 

- later: 
Name given to the saver of the Jewish People coming from the biblical Joseph (Masshiah ben Joseph) or coming from King David (Masshiach ben David).

Knowing these things, we can clearly see that a Jewish believer who is faithful to God is such as "messianic" as those who have already accepted Yeshua HaMashiachas the Messiah and who are waiting His return as "Messianic Jews".

The word "Masshiach" has the same root than the word "Moshia" which means Saver, Redeemer. 

This means that the angels have announced the arrival and the birth of This Redeemer and Saver:

"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord." (Lk.2,11) 

Here, the used expression is Lord Christ (HaMasshiach HaAdon), and not Jesus Christ (Yeshua HaMasshiach). 
The word Adon was strictly used for the ETERNAL God… 


Message of Christmas – or coming of the Messiah ?

"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.!" (LK.2,14) 

Here is the sentence as it resounds from the mouth of the angel... 
This is the motto of each Christmas… 

But in the original text, in Hebrew (and Greek), the sentence is quite different…:  

"Respect/Glory to God in the skies, peace on earth and on the will/desires of the sons of men". 

In other words, the desires of men, their will IS the Peace which is not other than the respect and the faith in God! 

It is not the humanistic good will of the world’s peace promulgated by the ecumenism which is declared here! 

Here, we find the roots of Hellenism of Christianity again which distort and fray the Word of God: 
- Glory to God 
- peace on earth 
- peace between men 
...and everybody takes his part from it.... 

Yet, it is not what the angel said!! 

This sentence exactly speaks about this UNIT which is absolutely natural in Jewish thinking! It is question of this Integrity which is indivisible! The triple unity. 

We can understand here that it is the Eternal God Who revealed Himself by giving this peace to men which is nothing else than the respect and the faith in God.   

That is what the angel chorus singed and this is by knowing and living this Unity that I am myself able to praise the Lord of the Armies...the Anointed King. 

The Word that was made flesh is not other than the Will of God, His Laws, His Grace and Redemption... 
The coming of the Messiah on earth in a word. 

The coming of His power and reign was realized when He became God by the Resurrection… 

In other words, Christ was born and by His Sacrifice at Pesach, He became sovereign, Anointed King...
