Wearing a hat or not?
Yaakov, Béla Orbán
Many ask me why Jews do always have to wear their hats.
Why does a Jewish man have to put a kippah or something else when going among Jews?
They say that we cannot read about this kind of order anywhere in the Bible.
But actually we can!
Anyone could give an account of it by reading Exodus 19, 14:
"And Moses went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people…"
It is not allowed for a Jew to enter a holy place without covering his head such as it was also forbidden to Moses to come down the hill openly!
The one who is going among Jews has to respect this state of sanctification that is still valid today.
The one who is Jew for his part, what does he do among non-Jews?
Moreover how should we know that someone has been sanctified by God or not?
Sometimes you are covering your head, sometimes not according to your mood. Wouldn’t you unconsciously break the law of God in this way?
To summaries then:
If you are Jewish, you are always with someone who has been sanctified:
It is yourself!
If you don’t wear anything on your head it is perhaps because you don’t really accept your own sanctification which still belongs to you through the ministry of Moses and the Will of God?
………........
To become a bit more serious:
Wearing a kippah or a hat is only a tradition from a few centuries and is really not biblical!
The Christian world introduced it by forcing Jews closed in ghettos to wear distinctive signs upon their clothes or on their heads.
In other words, this Christianity did not accept the Calling of the Chosen People and even wanted to isolate it.
So the obligation of wearing distinguishing features imposed by them to us actually returned against them:
It was exactly through these contemptuous and humiliating signs that the sanctification of the People of Israel by God became apparent.
The first sentences of this teaching were intended to make the readers smile.
Besides I also have to apologize if this smile will freeze on the face of some of them till the end of the message.
- Because there are many people who are lying to be Jews and try to sanctify themselves by wearing Jewish clothes, hats or any other symbols in order to change their appearance. They are not doing other than committing the sin of lie while denying their genuine identity received by God.
- There are also some others who are arbitrarily distributing the Jewish identity to people so becoming the assistants and the arms of the spiritual death of their victims.
Before these poor people I really take off my hat (according to the Christian tradition) since we cannot stand before the dead with covered head.
Indeed, the spiritual death has nothing to do with the Sanctuary (the People of God or/and the Body of the Messiah) and is certainly not the place of any sanctification.
- Although I can warn the others (those who are from Jewish origin):
Put on your kippah or your hat since God sanctified you... and this sanctification and election have to be visible before all men.
This short report will although take another turn from now:
When you are praying or listening to the Word of God: take off everything you have upon your head!
Because the words of the Bible do not concern the outer signs you could wear on yourself but they rather appoint the diadem of the High Priest.
I mean the crown that He was the only one allowed to wear when He prostrated before God.
For 2000 years, the Jewish community does not and cannot have any legitimate high priest who could represent them and intercede before God.
Although we still have a unique High Priest before which we can stand in order that He only would bring our prayers, demands, gifts and grace to God. There is someone who definitively and unchangingly fulfils the sacerdotal ministry for us and for all men and for ever.
His name is Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ).
Then take off your false priestly crown and prostrate yourself before the Anointed King in humility and submission.
Most of Jews still don’t know who He is. They are still waiting for the reconstruction of the Temple, the restoration of the sacerdotal order and the putting into service of the high priest again.
It is also because of you that they are still unable to recognize Him because you are wearing your false diadem that symbolizes the power and authority that you are attributing to yourself. Or it is because you accept and put yourself under the power of false high priests that Jews are still blind today? Because you have subordinated yourself under the rule of men that have received some pitiable human made unction by others and not from God? These false powers of false priests are working against the power and rule of Yeshua HaMashiach.
The day when these impostors will finally kneel down with uncovered heads before the High Priest, either Jews won’t need to wear any distinctive symbols anymore.
This will be the time when Jews will remove their hats and kippah and will prostrate themselves not before some Christian churches but well before Yeshua HaMashiach accepting Him as the High Priest, as their Messiah, as their Anointed King who will return them to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
This short report is carrying two messages at the same time:
Put on your hat...and take it off...!
